Knole – September 2018

Visit Date: 25 September, 2018

As you journey through the showrooms created by Thomas Sackville in the early 17th century, you’ll become part of a 400 year visitor history at Knole.

Five of the impressive showrooms have now reopened following conservation, where you can see a world-class collection of portraits, royal furniture and opulent silver.

Our visit will include a “Past and Present” tour ending at the conservation workshops, a visit to the five showrooms that have now reopened, the opportunity to meander through the wooded paths of Lord Sackville’s private gardens, or to join a themed guided tour of the gardens. If you have the energy you can climb the 77 steps to the top of the Gatehouse or sit quietly in the orangery.

We depart APMH at 9.30am and leave Knole at 4.00pm.

Our visit includes travel, guided tour, free time to see the showrooms, gardens and gatehouse, tea/coffee on arrival and a sandwich lunch.
