Sissinghurst Castle Garden & the Chagall Windows at All Saints’ Church, Tudeley – July 2018

Visit Date: 24 July, 2018

For an early-bird visit of Sissinghurst Castle Garden we will leave APMH at 08:00. On arrival at 09:30 there will be a preliminary talk.

This garden was an ambitious enterprise by Harold Nicolson and Vita Sackville-West from the late 1930s; still continued today by Adam Nicolson and his wife, Sarah Raven.

A one hour walk around the garden commences at 10:00. Spend time exploring the new farm and woodland, as well as the gardens before lunch (not included).

Departure is at 14:15 to arrive at All Saints’ Church, Tudeley to be presented with a guide to explain the history of the Chagall stained glass windows which have made the church so famous.

We will have a tea break before departure home at about 16:30.
