Woburn Abbey is celebrated for housing one of the most important private art collections in the world. Artworks on public view include the work of famous artists such as: Reynolds, Gainsborough, Hogarth, Lely, Rembrandt, Tintoretto and Van Dyck.

Within the house itself, a number of 18th-century pictures still hang largely in situ. The State Dressing Room is hung with a collection of Dutch and Flemish old masters, such as Teniers, Cuyp and Steen. The Dining Room was remodeled by the architect Henry Holland and has for centuries displayed Woburn Abbey’s famous collection of twenty-four Venetian views by Canaletto.
